If you want to get rid of them then you have two options either go for medical treatments like chemical peels, cryosurgery, laser treatment or use home remedies like coconut oil. If you want to use this oil then keep in mind that this oil will not lighten the pigmentation quickly. You have to keep some patience and use it on a regular basis. The simplest way to use it is to apply it on your cleansed skin and gently massage for about 5 minutes. Use this remedy every night before heading towards your bed. Mild exfoliation effects of coconut oil will help remove the dark outer layer of your skin and the final result would be a smooth and pigmentation free skin.

You can also make this remedy even more effective by mixing some olive oil with coconut oil. Some people also use lemon juice, castor oil, onion juice to get rid of age spots. Another option is to prepare a mask for coconut oil, turmeric powder and tomato juice. Apply it on your face and allow it to rest on for about half an hour and then wash it off with lukewarm water.

You can also try a combination of vitamin E liquid and coconut oil. Some people also use a mask prepared by adding one teaspoon each of yogurt, dry milk powder, coconut oil and a pinch of turmeric.

Lastly, stay away from the direct sun light and do not forget to use your sunscreen before going outdoors. Include antioxidant, omega fatty acids and vitamin A, C and E rich food sources in your food list.
